SmartCircuit
Show Allianz insurance offers in your booking path with a client-side web component
SmartCircuit™ is a web component hosted by Allianz Partners (AzP). Your web application sends it booking events from client-side JavaScript, and SmartCircuit renders the insurance offer and completes the purchase. A typical integration covers three exchanges:
How it works
Authenticate server-side
Your server exchanges partner credentials for an access token (valid for 1 hour) and a refresh token (valid for 24 hours).

Load SmartCircuit
The page includes the SmartCircuit bundle and an allianz-insurance element carrying the access token.
Assumptions and dependencies
- The partner provides credit card information, and AzP is merchant of record for insurance purchases.
- The partner displays AzP’s full HTML offer in the agreed page placement.
- SmartCircuit is hosted by AzP. UAT and production use separate bundles, distinguished by file name, and changes ship as new versioned bundles.
- The partner uses the provided events to update the cart with the insurance cost and to send a purchase or note decline request.
- If SmartCircuit can’t return an optimized offer in time, it renders a default offer.
- AzP must be told about planned changes to fields or standard values before they go live.
- AzP and the partner test the integration together, usually on the partner’s test site.
Browser support
Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and Internet Explorer are supported. Angular integrations are tested on Internet Explorer; pure JavaScript or non-Angular integrations may need extra libraries for it.
